Renewable Heat

 ReFood recovers renewable heat as well as electricity and fertiliser from food wastes – maximising the environmental benefits.

The AD technology employed by ReFood means that as well as producing renewable electricity, the plant also provides a renewable heat source.

 

CHP generation provides a far more efficient method on converting fuel into energy than conventional single-use applications and is increasingly being used in industrial applications.

 

The Doncaster AD plant will supply renewable heat to an adjacent food factory operated by PDM Group, replacing heat generated by conventional boilers.
