A ReFood biogas plant.

ReFood Doncaster

ReFood UK's first plant is being built at PDM's headquarters in Doncaster, South Yorkshire; construction started in September 2010 and the plant will be fully operational by summer 2011.

The new plant will provide an environmentally-sustainable solution for producers of biodegradable waste streams in the region looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill as well as generating renewable heat and power.

The Doncaster plant will also recycle biodegradable waste streams from PDM's adjacent food factories and supply process heat back; completing a classic 'closed-loop' recycling service.

In addition to generating renewable energy, the AD plant will produce DynAgro; a high quality organic based fertiliser rich in nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphate and potash.

ReFood provides integrated local solutions to recycling and sustainable generation of renewable energy.
